Peace Corps Service Over... Now Back to Reality

Enjoying St. Patrick's Day with Peace Corps Volunteers in Shumen.

Updates:

WALLA WALLA -- I'm thousands of miles away from where I was last year at this time, but somehow things look the same. The trees are frozen in ice and the sky is gray day in and day out. I work in a school -- which is heated better -- but students are just as much of a challenge.

I am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Bulgaria from 2004 to 2006. I came back to America in early August to Walla Walla, Washington. Following advice, I jumped back into the working force as a tutor at a local middle school. Currently I am applying for graduate school, while working full-time at the school and officiating basketball games on the weekends.

If you've never been to this site before, it's filled with photos and stories about my two-year experience in Bulgaria. If you have questions about Peace Corps or life in Bulgaria, feel free to email me at mthomp28@yahoo.com.
